Working Groups 2007-08

CTE's Working Groups support the intellectual work that faculty members do in their teaching. Each Working Group focuses on a different facet of teaching in higher education. During the 2007-08 academic year, three groups are meeting on these topics:

  • Interdisciplinary teaching in international studies
  • Undergraduate science courses
  • Teaching large classes

The groups allow participants to share information and their experiences, pose and solve problems, and/or discover new ideas or approaches to teaching.

CTE supports each Working Group in two ways: first, by doing all logistical work to bring together faculty who are interested in the seminar topic; and second, by providing funds to support each group’s work. A typical year’s activities include two or three seminar presentations per semester and, as appropriate, an outside speaker once per year to add perspective on the topic.

For more information about the Working Groups, contact CTE at 864-4199 or cte@ku.edu. To find out about meeting times and dates, check the CTE schedule.
