I was pleased with the way the student writing came along and with the growing skills that they demonstrated in applying comparative analysis. One of the course goals was to use a comparative method to do historical analysis, and the author whose paper I've included below did a wonderful job of seeing photographs as constructions by a particular photographer in two different contexts.
